There’s more! Look at the photo again. There are four that the eye can see. Heads, Tails, the middle, and the parts around the coin that aren’t the coin.

Are you ready? There’s more! Look at the photo again. Have you forgotten to add your awareness of that coin? What you conceptualize as a coin? A Baby would think that it’s something shiny, and wonder if it was good to eat. A Child, having been introduced to the concept of money, thinking that it is something you need to get the stuff that you want, might just shove his little Baby Sister or Brother out of the way and grab those coins…

In short, the coin means different things to different people. Some Adults think that the coin is a representation of your time. Nobody said Life was fair, right. Nevertheless, we live in a society that apparently values time in a very strange manner to say the least.

It’s about the way you look at things… Some people would call this the Law of Relativity.

Here’s an example. Let’s say you catch a cold and jump in your car and head to the Doctor. He’s going to give you some pills and have a peek at you for about five minutes if that, and earn upwards of $150.00. Not, bad. A real life saver, right? Anyway, armed with your prescription, you jump back into your car and head home. You decide to jump on the freeway because it’s faster. As you are zooming along in heavy traffic, the steering wheel starts to jerk around on you and you start to get nervous so you pull off the freeway and stop at a garage. The Mechanic examines your vehicle, and informs you that your right front tire has a slow leak, and to remain safe, you should have it repaired. You agree, and he fixes the tire, and for his hour, you pay him $55.00. Not, bad. What’s my point?

As you continue home, feeling overcharged by the mechanic, he has just prevented a major motor vehicle accident that could have resulted in the death or injury of hundreds of people. Your car mechanic is also a life saver. So are the guys that built your house. Most of them earned $10.00 an hour. Do you plan on eating? Well, you get the picture… Excuse the pun. Look at the photo again. So far, there are at least five sides to every coin:

Heads, Tails, the middle, the space around the coin that isn’t the coin, so you can see it in the first place, what you think the coin is, and what it actually is. It might be different than what “You” think it is. This makes six, and therefore it might be different than what the coin issuer thinks it is, so now we are up to seven… Wow. Seven sides to every coin…

So, simply to observe a coin, and not throw conception into the pot, there are four sides: Heads, Tails, the middle, and the parts that aren’t the coin.

To be realistic about the coin there are six sides: Heads, Tails, the middle, the parts that aren’t the coin, its purpose as far as you are concerned, and its purpose as far as the coin issuer is concerned.

To be honest about the coin there are at the very least seven sides: Heads, Tails, the Middle, the parts or space that isn’t the coin, its purpose as far as you are concerned, its purpose as far as the coin issuer is concerned, and what the coin actually is…

Hmmm…

When you think about money, do you think of it in only two dimensions? Heads or Tails? If you do, History teaches us that you’ll never have as much as you want. History also teaches us that most people, utilizing this two dimensional restrictive thinking, borrow money, guaranteeing that they will have to borrow more and more to get what they want, and therefore, actually have less and less.

Hmmm…

Time for a new improved metaphor, wouldn’t you say?

“If you think there are two sides to a coin, someone has pulled the wool over your eyes.”

OR:

If you think in terms of money like this: you either have enough or you don’t, and what do I have to do to get more, and go after the easiest possible means to solve your dilemma, then you are slowly but surely falling into the credit trap. The hole that you will never dig yourself out of…
Think of it this way…

You are worth something. Money is not!

You can increase your bank account by increasing your "perceived" value. How on Earth does one do that? The answer may shock you, and yet it is very simple. I’ll give you the secret to having more money in three parts:

1. Stop spending it. Especially if you have to borrow or charge it to spend it. Others say Spend Wisely.
2. Stop thinking about it. You’re wasting time, and not spending time earning money.
3. Invest some time in You. Increase your "perceived" value by learning or improving.

Economists refer to this behaviour as, “Short term Loss – Long term Gain.”

My Grandfather told me this one, which also may help, “Don’t let Money become the Master.”
Daniel Dwight Cameron.

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

© Copyright 2008. The reasons are quite simple, and yet, the potential ramifications are astounding!

First of all, if you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer, these additions give you the ability to collaborate on projects with your friends and colleques. Benefits? You save time and energy...

If you store the project or "school assignment" let's say in your public folder on your SkyDrive, your team can access that file or files from the safety of their own homes. The Result? No travelling...

Now imagine if everybody you know does that. This saves a lot of energy right across the board:

Leaving the car parked out in the driveway uses less gas and reduces wear and tear on the vehicle. The buses still travel around, but with lighter loads, they use less gasoline. Lighter loads also mean less wear and tear, which will reduce maintenance costs. We all save money and pollute the air less. That's one...

If you get your teachers used to the idea that you will not be printing your assignments on paper, but instead, you will provide them a link to your project that is stored on your SkyDrive, this will save trees, which by the way absorb carbon dioxide. That's two...

We will use less oil, (oil is used to produce paper and ink) and create less garbage and pollution. That's three...

You can do a lot of things on a computer that can never get printed onto paper, so the quality of your work will greatly improve. I heard the names: Einstein, Hawking, and Hubble over and over again. Quite the trio, to be sure. As scientists, these men have dedicated themselves to the discovery of facts based on observation, to prove or disprove theories that they or others have postulated, to define and explain our existence.

At the end of this documentary, Stephen Hawking said that our Universe began with a singularity. Most of us understand that he is talking about the Big Bang; the explosion that created the Universe. I actually stood up and started pacing around in the Universe… My living room.

I do not believe that the Universe began where and when these guys think it did. To agree with my statement with absolutely no doubt in your mind requires that you ask one simple question. First, let me state that I agree with their scientific observations. There was a Big Bang. However, I wonder what these guys are thinking about when they discuss the origin of the Universe. As far as I am concerned, they have proceeded with their investigations without asking a most important question…

“Where did the stuff that blew up come from?”

In my opinion, Stephen Hawking has only proved that approximately fifteen billion years ago, there was a huge explosion that “re-ordered” part of the Universe; not created it. It’s obviously been around for a lot longer than 15 billion years. My dear Nobel award winning scientists…

In order for there to be a singularity, an incredible amount of stuff had to come from somewhere, and crash into, or combine together, and create a chain reaction that resulted in a huge explosion. The Big Bang only scratches the surface in discovering the origin of our Universe.

May I weigh in? The Nobel crew tell us that our Universe is expanding. Expanding because they have measured that stars are moving away from us. What if these stars are not moving away from us, but moving towards an infinite number of Universes that surround ours, and the stuff that came together to create the Big Bang is stuff that spun out of those Universes.

As such, you have to immediately expand your conception about the Universe and its origin. What if all the stuff in what they call our Universe is simply the result of one exploding star, and what they think is the Universe is only an extremely small part of what it actually is? Let me repeat the obvious... In order for there to be a Big Bang, there had to be stuff there in the first place, and that stuff had to come from somewhere. Thus, this event is obviously not the beginning. Sorry fellas, however, you are not looking at the Universe through telescopes. You are looking at it through microscopes…

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the scientific community, I will tell you exactly where and when the Universe began, and even why! Since I fashion myself to be a poet, I will state the obvious with a very short poem.

From Love and Thought comes Dust and Time.

p.s. Simply stated, without Faith there would be no reason to ask questions, and without Science, there would be no way to discover the answers. Science and Religion should not camp out on opposite sides of the fence. We should understand that they are exactly the same thing... The Pursuit of the Truth.

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

© Copyright 2007. According to science, if we don’t use it, we lose it. If we don’t stimulate the neural pathways that are formed in the brain to store a set of responses to various stimuli, those connections will wither and die. In short, you won’t think and feel the same way. The opposite unfortunately, is also true. If we keep thinking and feeding those feelings the same way, then that “trigger” will remain nice and strong. The past repeating itself…

What this means is that faced with decisions, or called upon to react, the brain has formed a very specific tiny little connection that triggers memories, reactions, and emotions. Therefore, if we concentrate on our thoughts, we can actually re-wire our brains, forming and feeding new neural pathways, and starving to death older one’s which do not yield positive results. Cool…

How many times do you need to stick your hand in the fire so to speak? Understanding that a human being can actually “force” his or her body to conform to a desired reaction to the people, places, and things around them is a very powerful and liberating concept. Especially if you want to improve your “footprint” shall we say.

If you look back at our fossil records, it is pretty obvious that our brains have been slowly and steadily, over thousands of years, growing in size. Also, if you track our behaviour as a species, you can argue that we haven’t really changed much.

Apparently, there are a set of responses to stimuli that are hard wired. Certain sections of our brains are off limits to re-wiring, and ensure that no matter what, this is how a human being is going to react, and going to behave. We can call these set of behaviours instincts, and for the most part, it is part of our existence that says to me that we are capable of behaving like animals.

However, since the part of our brain that is capable of creative thought, learning, and our memory capability is growing in size or, “strength” to shape this thought, we should as a species, be more than capable of endeavouring to behave more like enlightened and learned creatures…
Practice makes perfect. If we stomp around like cavemen grunting and posturing, it is conceivable that we might also go around killing each other…

Is this behaviour hard-wired? I think not. Aware that I am more than the sum of my parts; an enlightened being, and I mean as compared to our small-minded brothers and sisters from the past, I have decided to behave in a more civilized manner. The path or “trigger” to this behaviour begins with a very simple and easily maintained neural pathway…

RESPECT

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

© Copyright 2007. First of all, “Hit the brakes!” There has been so much discussion on diets and obesity, that it’s hard to put the whole thing into perspective. I’ve been involved in the fitness game for the last twenty-five years. During this time, I’ve met thousands of men and women, many who are absolutely driven to losing weight. Unfortunately, many do not succeed.

When I graduated high school, I had yet to see the scale read a three digit number. To physically survive the many sports I enjoyed, I began working out with weights. Eventually, I became interested in bodybuilding. Apparently, and to my surprise, my genetics were just right. I started consuming every speck of information I could find on bodybuilding, and from a wide variety of sources.

Eventually, I prepared for, and entered a few bodybuilding competitions. Two years of preparation culminated with an event that for that one day, was heavily dependent on… extreme dieting.

I’ve loosely compared my experience to the difference between a Sunday drive in a Ford Taurus and racing a stock car. Same car, different circumstances. I mention the comparison because some of the modifications that mechanics make to their racing cars are eventually included by manufacturers in their domestic vehicles. Something that survives the stress of racing can mean big improvements to the car outside in the driveway.

This comparison in mind, and simply put, the way I looked on stage that day depended on, in order:

- Genetics
- Intelligence
- Effort

You can’t do anything about number one. Besides how tall and what color your eyes are, your genes dictate other, not so obvious traits. The bottom line is to become aware of your potential, and finesse yourself into a routine that produces a satisfactory machine. This is my first hint. Start thinking about your body as if it is your car. Disassociation breeds objectivity. The nice thing about the human car is that you’re not stuck with the one you see in the mirror. If you combine intelligence with the proper amount of effort, you can almost recreate yourself. All it takes is a little time. This is hint two. A lot of people seem to waste their time.

If you decide it’s time to drop a few pounds, the first thing you should do is go out and buy a Nutrition Almanac. Make sure it has a section explaining how your body breaks down food. Most people are familiar with the three basic groups: protein, carbohydrates, and fat.

Once you’ve familiarized yourself with a little dry, scientific reading, open up your cupboards. The almanac, in chart form, breaks down the components in the food you eat. The list includes values for protein, carbohydrates, fat, and total calories. Substitute food high in calories with lower calorie foods which have similar protein, carbohydrate, and fat levels. Same sustenance, less calories.

It is absolutely fascinating how delicious and inexpensive healthy eating is. Processed food may be convenient, but it’s expensive. Unfortunately, from a nutritional perspective, it would probably be healthier to eat the package the food came in. Start filling your shelves with healthier food. Think of it like switching to high octane fuel. Most people drop five to ten pounds immediately.

Effort over time, combined with a regiment that burns more calories than you are injesting, will equal the desired result. Your body will have to make a few adjustments, and will most likely complain along the way, but it doesn’t take too long before it gets with the program. Experiment with the formula until you see a smile on your face. If you simplify the process, you can control exactly how you look and feel. The rewards are well worth the effort.

Finally, unless you are using it as a nonjudgmental monitoring device, I recommend that you toss your bathroom scale. How you feel and what you look like is directly related to the one thing on your body that won’t ever gain weight… Your brain.

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

© Copyright 2007. I suppose in all fairness, there is the International Space Station. I also understand that there are plans to colonize the Moon. Maybe even Mars. How many of us do you think would get to go?

We as a species for the most part, remain securely steadfast in denial, or obstinately oblivious to scientific observation that our pollution causing activities, for example Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions from burning fossil fuels, is thickening the thin layer of atmosphere that covers our planet, like a sweater. As the sweater gets thicker and thicker, the Earth gets warmer and warmer. We all know that heating things up is sometimes not the best idea.

Very concerned people are trying to tell us that they have been gathering statistics, and plotting these statistics on graphs, and that these graphs seem to be steadily traversing in an upward direction. They go on to say that their educations, and advances in computer technology, are allowing them to draw conclusions that we better start paying attention to.

If you mess up your hotel room, the staff comes in after you are gone and cleans it up for the next traveler. No problem. What happens if you smash the bed, the sink, and the toilet? It takes longer to get the room ready for the next person. What if you show up with a team, rent every room in the hotel, and everybody trashes their rooms? Very simple. The hotel, because it will take a lot longer to fix all the rooms, has to shut down for repairs, and nobody can stay there.

This is what the scientists are telling us. We are damaging our room. Where are your kids going to stay when they grow up and want to go on vacation? Where are their kids going to stay? This is the point. It’s one thing to enjoy yourself while on vacation. It is an entirely different matter when you wreck the room so that nobody else can stay there. I believe that in modern day society, property damage is considered a crime. Apparently, we don’t really care what kind of world our children grow up and inherit from us. If responsibility doesn’t seem inspirational enough, perhaps accountability will be. To grasp this concept, all you need to do is change one word…

An act Of nature to an act By nature

Look at the Earth with a microscope. Think of it like a tiny organism. A form of life. A form of life with a survival instinct built into it. It isn’t just a thing we walk around on. When its survival, or balance is threatened, it acts to restore it. Nature doesn’t respond well to extremes. If our arrogance causes damage to the Earth, it will respond by attacking the threat.

Less people. Less pollution. Problem solved. How will our tiny little Earth manage to defend itself against the all knowing, all powerful human race?

Floods and Hurricanes.

Severe climate conditions.

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

©Copyright 2007. Worded this way, it doesn’t matter what your faith is, even if you are an atheist. It simply makes common sense. If you look past what we have come up with to explain ourselves, certain undeniable truths reveal themselves…

Read the next three sentences and then pause for a moment…

The best leaders know how to follow…
The best followers know how to lead…
Knowledge of a process increases performance…

Common Sense. Now weigh in. Once a leader has tasted that position, would they feel disposed to step aside and let others lead them? I am talking about, “Ego.” Awareness of self is very important.

Ego is the only concept we have to keep our animal instincts under some form of control.

Worded this way…

You pick… Spirituality or Ego. Who or what is “steering” your boat, and where are you going? The universe with you at its center, or you as a functioning part of it.

Ask a few questions. How big is it? Doesn’t really matter. It is the exact size it is. How old is it? Doesn’t matter. It is the exact age it is. When did it begin? Now you’re getting close… The answer? When time began? It began when it began? Even this, doesn’t really matter, to ego…

Compared with its size, its age, and its conception, we are these tiny little irrelevant blips on the record. Not even a grain of sand. Oh, really?

What if one of us launched a thousand nuclear bombs at the moon. What if a big chunk got blown off, and impacted the earth. We would all be dead. What if that collision caused the moon and the earth to spin off into space. What if they hit something? Like Mars. What if that caused a chain reaction? Long after we were dead, the domino effect could wipe out a whole lot of universe. Maybe the whole thing…

Fascinating, isn’t it? Apparently we are the center, and yet only a functioning part of it at the same time. Think about that one…

Before there is a cake sitting on your kitchen table, a few things have to happen. A heat source has to be employed to cause a chain reaction between certain ingredients or chemicals… Here’s the point. The cake made its way to the table the exact moment you decided to bake one. It was a “decision”. Now, all you have to do is think of the universe, with you included as part of it, as a cake… Who decided to bake the cake?

The universe is obviously the result of a “decision” to build one.

A cake is not the result of an accident. You can’t leave stuff out on your counter while you go shopping and return to find a cake. It won’t happen without the “desire” to make one…

Desires and decisions are what? They are feelings… They are manufactured by chemical reactions in our brains. It is what we are. We are thinking, feeling, powerful beings on the planet Earth. Every single “one” of us…

Heaven is installed in each one of us. Let Love Live…

If you let something so powerful, that it could create a universe that is capable of survival; capable of growth… Guide us along the journey…

We can become by following, very good leaders…

It is my belief, that a superior life form created the universe, and therefore, by happenstance or by design; us. I believe that this superior life form has the ability to interact with its creation on an emotional level. A thinking, feeling, powerful being.

Hey!

That sounds just like us, doesn’t it?

I wonder if it knew how spectacular that creation would become, and the incredible diversity of life it would create? I wonder how many universes were created before one actually was able to survive without blowing itself up?

To think that we have purpose is an absolute conclusion of ego. To “know” that we are all thinking, feeling, powerful beings on this planet with “potential” is an absolute conclusion of spirituality. If we can ‘be” something, or “become” something, and if I were to have a choice…

I would choose to become teachable…

Knowledge of a process increases performance in it…

Show me an ego that wouldn’t want that.

Heaven is installed in each one of us.

Learn to let that part of you out.

Learn to see it in others…

Know it matters…

Feel it…

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

©Copyright 2007. How can we construct a joyful life without first understanding what it is? It took me a long time to truly understand, and trust that much of my life occurs on a level of comprehension that I am not actively aware of. To illustrate this simple fact of life, imagine if you had to remember to breathe, or blink your eyes, or control your heart rate.

Funny isn’t it, because these are things we take for granted, and yet we can at any time we choose, directly control how we breathe, how many times we blink our eyes, and if we concentrate; our hearts.

Understanding what this means is very important. So much of life occurs without concentrating on it that it just seems pointless to worry about it. The only question we should concern ourselves with is what we intend to control. Literally everything we need to accomplish this is already firmly in place. The car is out in the driveway, and it will start, and it will take you from point A to point B. If it won’t; the bus will. Perhaps a friend or neighbor. The question is, where do you want to go?

What I am saying is that the only component missing in our lives is the realization that we should endeavor to enjoy it. That’s it. Look at it the opposite way. Where is it written down that we should punish ourselves, and not enjoy it? Immediately, the question arises…

When am I enjoying it?

Funny isn’t it, because life is something most of us take for granted, and yet we can at any time we choose, directly control it.

If we intend by our actions to enjoy life, and we concentrate on what makes us happy, so much of life occurs on a level of comprehension that we are not actively aware of that it is only necessary to pay attention to the results so we can make adjustments along the way…

Try this little experiment. Sit down, place your right hand over your heart and concentrate on the thumping sensation in your hand. Now gradually control how many times you are drawing a breathe. Try slowing them down, breathing in slow and steady through your nose until your lungs are full, and exhaling slow and steady through your mouth until your lungs are empty. Now do it again. In approximately ten seconds, you will notice that the thumping sensation in your hand will slow down. Now take your hand off your heart and sit there and think about one thing that makes you happy. Think about it until you smile. You have just learned how to relax.

As a matter of fact, you have just learned that you are directly in control of how happy or unhappy you are.

Try being happy about the stuff you do.

It’s not complicated. If you smile or laugh, or feel a general state of wellness while you do things, these are things you should continue to do. If you don’t, do the breathing thing, think about it for a little while, and try a different approach. One that makes you smile.

Here’s an example of this principle in action. I hate doing homework. Do the breathing thing. You wouldn’t believe how much homework you will have to do during your life. Try enjoying it. Once you figure out that getting good at doing homework and letting learning become a source of enjoyment opens a million doors of opportunity, and a lot of those doors open up to rooms filled with enjoyment…

Control the enjoyment in your life. Be honest. How many of us feel that way about homework, and how long have you been carrying around that unhappiness? Most of us grow up learning not to enjoy doing homework, only to discover that homework is pretty much an integral and daily part of our adult lives. Directly speaking; why does it make you unhappy to learn? Most of the time, all it requires is a little reading, and trying a few things. How many opportunities to enjoy yourself have you not investigated or pursued because they required a little preparation, or practice?

Here’s another one. A lot of people are unhappy about their weight. Investigate ways to loss weight and try some of them. Understand that that you will not derive happiness from losing weight.

However, you will derive empowering happiness from controlling how much you weigh.

Experiment with the results until you are happy. You have now taken control of “your” weight, investigated how to manage it, experimented with different techniques, and you enjoy the understanding that it is your decision to monitor and control it. Why punish yourself with diets? Eat so that what you see in the mirror, and how you feel makes you happy. Stop punishing yourself or failing at it. It won’t make you happy. As a matter of fact, if you approach losing weight from an unhappy or punitive point of view, you will probably end up gaining more weight.

“You” control how much you will weigh. Understand that it will take time, investigation, and experimentation. Enjoy the slow and steady process of gaining control of “your” weight. Do your homework and practice what you learn. Your weight doesn’t belong to anyone else, and you can and will learn to be happy controlling it. By the way, the only thing required to manage your weight is the one thing you have and can control that will never gain weight… Your mind.

Funny, isn’t it…

Do you know how many of us walk around constantly punishing ourselves? How many us choose to remain unhappy? Sit down. Relax. Think about it. Try a different approach. The universe and all the stuff that goes on without our direct awareness will do the rest. It has to. It is its nature… As sure and resolute as the next time you will blink your eyes.

If you continue to investigate and try things that make you feel happy, you will eventually “learn” how to be happy. Please remember that happiness is simply one thing in life that you can and should therefore learn how to control. Everything else pretty much occurs automatically, and everything you need in order to be happy is ready and waiting for you.

Also remember the words, “In Order.” The learning process will help you understand that things occur in a specific order. Where you start is where you start. Where you end up is up to you. Do you know that there are people that are happy. Why not you?

Think about it this way. I’m going to learn and practice being happy.

If life to this point has you concluding otherwise, investigate options and try a few.

It will work...

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

©Copyright 2007. Of course, any intelligent person strolling around on our steadily warming planet understands that this “moment” of conception, which is where life arguably begins, is obviously what scientists refer to as the Big Bang; no pun intended.

If you travel back through the fossil record, and then launch off the planet and keep going, organized biological life began many billions of years sooner than most people dare to ponder. We are simply put, a bundle of atoms and molecules whose infrastructure is based upon the Carbon cycle. To understand the incredible beauty of this, one has to lift the head away from the microscope, stand up, and open the other eye…

What evolutionary biology cannot process effectively, is a commentary with any measure of scientific rigidity, to the absolute truth in our existence. From the moment of conception, to the point in time where life has organized or evolved to the point where it; where we, have come to realize that life is more than the sum of our parts is absolutely incredible... Mystifying to be sure, and considering the chain of events occurring over billions of years... Quite humbling.

This of course, is the moment of spiritual birth, and obviously, part of some type of plan; just like everything else has been.

Life is way too complicated when considering its biological or chemical composition to say, “It just happened.” The Universe, and all the life in it, is NOT a fluke. The Universe is not a fluke because there had to be a conscious decision to start it. The Universe and all the life in it is the result of a decision to build one. At the very least, fashion a snowball and send it down the hill.

Understanding that Science is the pursuit of Faith is a conceptual hurdle that can be leaped when the Origin of Man begins with a logical and scientific conclusion. If Life evolves, there had to be a beginning. If there is a beginning, there had to be something before that. I choose to call that concept God. A form of life not bound by mass or time. Also, there is a very simple mathematical formula to prove the existence of God…

1) God + Thought = You

2) Thought + Creation = You

3) Creation + Time = You

4) 1 + 1 = 2

The scientists on the planet who wish to process information truthfully and honestly according to their own rule of law can only discuss equation four. Unfortunately for science, my brain can conceptualize equations one through four, understand they are exactly the same, and explain this concept to a four year old.

It’s easy. We are more than the sum of our parts, and God is responsible for the creation of everything. There’s even a hint in the Bible. He took one of Adam’s ribs and created Woman. There it is in black and white. A language that Man at the time was supposed to understand. We are all part of a spectacular life form. The Universe is part of a spectacular life form. People of Faith choose to call this Life form God.

Understanding how God interacts in our daily lives can also be approached from a scientific perspective. God may simply be the energy that bonds all life together in its current design. More to the point, why one atom remains bonded with another. A life force or energy source that provides physical structure to its creation on a subatomic level is a very simple scientific principle to wrap one’s head around. There are no shortages of explanations why. Every religion on the planet explains that the reason is Love…

When we are taught that we are creations in his own image, where is the intelligence that this may be in fact, a very literal statement? We are the product of Love. Or, this entire Universe and all the life in it could be a molecule contributing to the construction of a strand of hair. I hope God does not decide to get a hair cut. Well, not yet…

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

©Copyright 2007. With absolute joy, I humbly share one simple way to regard inspiration, and an extraordinarily effortless way to become one with it. Inspiration is the Beginning. It is the Beginning. The Beginning Where pray tell would you like to begin? Think about it. It is that simple. Think about it

I’m not sure about you, however, all things delivered honesty, I have to admit that I would like to start at the end, not the beginning. I like to start when the icing is finished going on the cake…

Christmas Morning

To show up just in time for the “Joy”

Let us say for the purpose of discussion, that we would like to take a stroll on the Great Wall of China. Nice thought. When you are “imagining” that thought, do you envision getting up in the morning, getting dressed, calling a travel agent, booking some holidays, saving up some money, packing your bags, canceling the newspaper delivery, watering the plants… etc. etc.

No

You just go there.

Now I recommend you stop. Stop and smell the roses. You see, without motivation, you will not get to China. It will remain a dream. The reality will reside in your imagination.

1 + 1 = 2

Inspiration plus motivation equals China.

When you imagine strolling on the Great Wall of China, supply the motivation. Let inspiration do the rest. How do we do that? Keep it simple. Think about strolling on the wall. Enjoy that thought. Feel it. Feel it to the point that it causes a reaction in you.

Think about it until you feel the joy of strolling on the Great Wall of China.

Honestly

Now you’ve felt the joy of being there. This is all the motivation you’ll need. In order to honestly feel the inspiration, or origin of that thought, is also a simple process. Your mind does not come up with these things to torture you. Your mind comes up with these inspired thoughts to drive you. To compel you to take action. To put things in motion. Feel the joy of that inspiration.

Trust it

This thought wants you to be strolling on the Great Wall of China.

All you have to do is listen to it.

Start at the end, and travel back past seeing, smelling, touching, tasting, and hearing. Travel back to the inspiration, with the joy of where you have gone in your mind’s eye. Inspiration will fuel your motivation with the truth in that thought. Turn that dream into something a lot more manageable…

A plan

A plan that has already succeeded.

This adds one more thing that is required to make dreams come true.

I believe this phenomenon is referred to as confidence.

Here’s the math…

1 + 1 = 2

Inspiration plus confidence equals motivation.

Start at the End

Finish at inspiration

This is the actual spot where every joyous thought
you can imagine actually takes place.

This is when actually taking a stroll on the Great Wall of China
is an enriching, humbling, spiritual experience.

This is when you understand who you are,
what you are capable of, and most importantly,

Where you come from…

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/

daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com
©Copyright 2007. Somewhat of a mystery. To get the ball rolling, let’s call Life a journey. If you’ve managed to get yourself to the point where you can step outside of yourself and have a peek at what your life is from a completely non-judgemental perspective, then perhaps you would agree that Life is a gift.

My own journey has to this point, included an overwhelming amount of luck. These days, I feel thankful to be alive, and blessed with the company of incredible people who Love me. Most importantly, I have learned to Love myself. However, not too long ago, I can recall with great detail winding up on my knees and praying; and let’s call it what it was…

Begging for help.

The help came immediately, and the source riveted through me like a bolt of lightning…

Answers…

You see, I had lost Hope. If I were to say that self-destructive behaviour had me sinking in a well of fear and despair, would you understand? I have learned that everybody has that well. You keep sinking and sinking until you hit the bottom of the well. Your own personal Hell on Earth. Some people refer to this as, “rock bottom.” I agree.

However, there is a catch. If you have ever experienced rock bottom, then you’ll know what happens next. You get a reality check. Rock bottom is just the beginning of Hell. The doorway…
That rock at the bottom of your well, your own personal Hell, can give out. At this point, you realize that you have been living in denial. You get to experience real fear. Real rage. The worst part is that it just keeps going and going. I don’t really want to focus on this for too long. Let me conclude by saying that Hell is the absence of Love… Of sanity. I remember thinking that Life couldn’t possibly get any worse. Then it did…

I had lost Hope. My Spirit was broken. I could feel it. I thought that I couldn’t care less whether I was alive or dead. As a matter of fact, I felt like I was walking around dead. There was no joy in my Life. Only pain…

Then it happened. I’m going to call it a, “Reboot.” The bolt of lightning I mentioned. I didn’t even realize it at the time, but that bolt of awareness hit me so hard that I got yanked straight and true, right out of Hell, right out of my own personal Hell, and I found myself lying exhausted and broken face down on the ground. For the first time in my adult life, I was truly happy and thankful to be alive. The simplicity of this feeling was absolutely beautiful. I felt Loved…

To make a two year story short, my Mother and her wonderful Husband showed up, and nursed me back to my feet. A dear friend who I had driven away returned. The second I was able to stand, I got back down on my knees and simply said, “Thank You.”

I’ve learned that Life is a lot more than what I see in the mirror, and what my eyes see happening around me. The man I see in the mirror had to learn to deal with the reality that people, places, and things come and go, and happiness is a choice. One way I have accomplished this is that I have become aware that there is part of me that will hold on to the wonderful people, places, and things that have passed by my eyes, forever. This Happiness is a state of mind, or more to the point, a way of processing information.

If you let your inner dialogue die down and relax, you will feel it also. The only feeling on Earth that you can trust unconditionally…

Unconditional Love.

I am a walking, talking, typing example of the truth. You can call it whatever you want. Most people on Earth call this Unconditional Love, God. Pure energy. The one thing that science can’t see, and yet explains existence in every detail. I like to call God the energy that gives all Life order and purpose.

I enjoy thinking that what I refer to as God is the most important Entity in my Life. It makes me feel that my Life has order and purpose.

That purpose is to Love and be Loved…

Daniel Dwight Cameron

http://www.assimpleasinc.com/
daniel.dwight.cameron@gmail.com

©Copyright 2007.
